Why see a psychologist?  Who sees a
psychologist?
Everyone can use some help at some times in
their lives with something.  A psychologist is a
person who is  trained to help.
Often we don't know exactly what the problem is.  We know
things are not right, but we don't know how to fix it.  More
often we know how things should be but we don't know how
to get there.

A psychologist has training in observation, diagnoses, and
the latest ,methods to assist in change, to help you
understand the problem, and help in ways that get people
out of their ruts, or feelings of frustration, or even worse,
feelings of anxiety, depression, or even despair. When
nothing you try seems to be working, things can be extremely
frustrating!
What 's unique about the ways in which a psychologist
helps?   Can't anyone give that sort of help?
Psychologists are trained to use evidence and research as
a basis of practice, and have five or six years of training
after college in helping people as well as researching and
reading research about ways to help people change. As you
navigate around this website I will show you ways in which
people change and how it can bring you happiness!
This website will explore some of the ways in
which people get stuck and how a psychologist
can help, and why a psychologist is specially
qualified to do so.  Along the way we will talk
about how change can bring happiness and
explore some of the ways that change can be
achieved by counseling with a psychologist.
